Debut EP by this experimented new group that has in its ranks former members of Skatalà, (early) Dr Calypso or Frontpilsen; as well as other post-punk, mod revival or ska bands from Barcelona like Knockouts, Pilseners, Los Bretones, Lost Men Service ...
In this debut single we find 4 tracks sung in Catalan languange that we could catalog of power pop with light touches of punk rock.The freshness and energy of the songs vibrate through the personal vocal lines by female singer Alex. The guitars played by Guifré go from anger to sadness as the occasion requires, while the rhythm section made up of Edgar (bass) and Roger (drums) remain tight as it could not be otherwise for these two punk and reggae fans. We must also highlight the work of the keyboard player Laia that provides an atmosphere reminiscent of bands like The Stranglers or The Skids.
The proposal of Mots is crisp and clear, their eclectic musical tastes take us on a trip to punk rock, reggae, 60s beat and power pop. Mots have awakened and want to convey emotions through their music. See it for yourself in this debut EP.
